The Global Contract Comes True!
The Global Contract Foundation is very actively involved in the Global Marshall Plan Initiative. Current information on this Initiative can be found at www.globalmarshallplan.org.

Because of globalization, there are today numerous global problems in the ecological or social field which can no longer be resolved by national politics and actions. Examples are the climate change or the extreme social inequality in the world.

Thus, we need international framework conditions which guarantee that the world economy functions for the collective good. The name of the Foundation stands symbolically for the framework conditions required.

The Global Contract Foundation works out, on the one hand, content-based concepts on the set-up of such framework conditions and presents them to the decision makers in politics, economy and civil society. On the other hand, the Foundation gets involved with its ideas wherever international framework conditions are being discussed and decided on, e.g. at the WTO negotiations in Cancún and at the UN World Summit on Information Society in Geneva.

Another important aim is to raise awareness for this topic among decision makers and the broad public alike.

The Foundation counts on close co-operations with many other organizations as this is the only way to overcome great challenges.
