Aims

The aim of the Global Contract Foundation is to raise awareness about the need to start acting on a global level. The Foundation also works to develop and outline concrete methods for designing a global order system, which would be based on contracts for sustainable development. The Foundation is focused on the development and implementation of contract-based solutions which take important economic, ecological, social and cultural aspects into consideration. By considering these separate aspects together it allows the overall and long-term pros and cons to be weighed up, thus enabling the possibility for a win-win situation for all players involved.


The road to success:
In order to achieve its aim, the Global Contract Foundation is actively engaged in the academic field, in project work and in public relations.


The contributions made through scientific investigation offer potential content for global contracts (policies), processes to reach them (politics) and ideas on institutional structures to implement them (polities). The Global Contract Foundation does not see itself primarily as a critical observer, but instead aims to provide feasible solutions. In addition to several other publications, the Global Contract Report was written in this vein.


The projects carried out by the Global Contract Foundation are also intended to increase public awareness and understanding of the need for global contracts that promote sustainable development. The Foundation also endeavours to encourage and support people all over the world to become actively and civically engaged in finding solutions that are based on the concept of global contracts. This is just one component of the support we offer, which also includes the provision of speakers.

The Foundation offers a number of services through which it makes its knowledge in the fields of globalization, global governance and sustainable development available. With the aid of international experts, the Foundation intends to create a data bank with solutions based on the concept of global contracts.
