Profile

The Global Contract Foundation was established in January 2002 by 22 founding members. The central office is located in Hamburg, Germany. The founding members were convinced that one of the central challenges of the 21st century would be promotion and adherence to the principles of sustainability with respect to ecological, economic, social and cultural conditions. In order to support sustainability in the age of globalisation, improved global frameworks need to be developed. Accordingly, the aim of the Foundation is both the promotion and analysis of global contracts between the relevant political, economic and social forces with the aim of establishing a fair and sustainable global governance system.
